Being an all around Alcyone fan, i can tell you the the JDM predecessor to the SVX, the XT6 was called the Alcyone VX. I'm thinking that Alcyone SVX is an extension of that name. I happen to own one of each of Subaru's flat 6 powered coupes. In all I've owned 4 Alcyones, 1 SVX, and 3 XT's.
