Exhaust temp sensor,Code 56,can't clear codes
 

So my CEL comes on once in a while and stays on for only 30 seconds max. I pulled the codes and it was a 56 which the list shows EGR system. I checked all of the hoses and they were fine. I applies vacuum to the EGR valve and the engine wanted to stall. I'm guessing that the valve is ok. I've read about the exhaust temp sensor going bad but I don't know where that is located. Does anyone have any pics of it? When I tried to clear the codes they won't clear. I've tried multiple times with no luck.

Ive also tried clearing code with no luck. so i disconected the battery and that worked. egt probes ar usaly at egaust manifold though i dont remember seeing any last i was under my car.

Well I disconnected the battery and that cleared the code. I also replaced some of the hoses so I hope that did the trick.
