Was behind a 3-tone silver today

Well arrived on the Auckland Harbour bridge this morning - only to find myself behind an S4 (that was the self adhesive badge on rear RHS)....

Rough 3-tone silver with BBS (complete with some really big bad bumper dents on all 4 corners + damaged waterfall center area plastic) - not plated silver like Hairy's (sorry Marcus!!).

Well I drove next to the lady for about 400 meters trying to get her attention - she was not awake (or maybe just ingnoring me) - or to stuck-up!!!.

So there is an S4 living on the North Shore.

The JDMs have the SUBARU decal, as the rear panel reads ALCYONE SVX. As far as I know, all other world markets do not have the decal, and the rear panel reads SUBARU SVX .

What makes you think it was an S4?

As I said in original message - there was an S4 under the Subaru badge

I was unaware that S3 or S4 had any badging, but was aware that an S4 had a chrome grill and a gold-horn hood emblem :)

This S4 did not have the chrome grill, it had the standard waterfall type (modified by a large crack & 2" x 1" piece missing) - maybe previous owner / insurance company could not source chrome type ?

The three-tone was not a paint scheme for S3 or S4, the car you saw was more likely a Version E with a decal

That is true - I saw it again this morning - was only 2-tone (more light to see later in the morning).

You mean black roof, silver car?

Ok, got you, I think, it's 2-tone silver with black roof, is this correct? :)

The two-tone OEM paint is either a Version-E or a Version-L [full leather],
S4 was a single color :).

I've seen one like that a couple of times now around Mt Eden / Normanby Rd... never mentioned it coz of it's condition... definately used and abused.
