225/45R18 - They fit?

I have the chance to get some nice winter 225/45R18 for my Tribeca Rims from a friend. that makes the tire diameter about 1 inch larger than factory. Any ideas on if this would cause rubbing issues? I know that 40 or 35 aspect ratio would be better but I gotta take what i can get if it works. Thanks.

225/40/18 is the ideal size...but 45 should work. I know someone will say it stresses your transmission and driveline a lot more, but seriously, unless you're pulling stumps with your SVX, I don't think there's anything to worry about.

And here I was planning to clear the upper 40 acres with my subie just next week. (weak joke I know) Thanks for the input. I'm still not sure, but I just might go ahead and do it.

with those wheels they should fit just fine. I have 08 STi wheels with 245/40 18 on mine right now.
