I wanted to buy this

Linkey

And drop the powerplant in my '66 chevelle... But I'm coming up with $4 in my bank account....

The Jaguar V12's sound great but are grossly underpowered for their displacement. I'd rather drop a modern Chevy LS2 or LS6 V8 into a '66 chevelle.

Yes, underpowered and heavy. Not to mention the curse of Lucas, bringer of darkness. Cats purr much better with a transplanted heart of a domestic V8. It's a very popular operation. The newer Jags probably have better engines, but British cars have never been know for swift amendments of lousy engineering.

Doesn't Chrysler have a similar product with more agreeable performance figures? :)

A V8 will never sound like a V12, and Lucas is just the electronics, that can easily be changed and eliminated :) then modify the engine for power, stock is 300+hp, and 400 shouldn't be hard to come by. Keep in mind the jag puts down over 350 lbs of torque, I believe the ZO6 is 385 lbs, so it is in the same ballpark, and the GM engine has been done too many times, who do you know with a V12 Chevelle? I want my own car, not a copy of someone elses:p

I'd rather have a Mercedes or BMW V-12. Reliable and awesome. Very much more so then a British one. Now Italian, you get sounds to kill for, but never known to be reliable.

I'd prefer a BMW V12, but they are a bit 'spensive for a 6L :)
