resistor-huh????

well, i tested my tranny resistor and it read infinite but i said what the hell and plugged it back in anyway. now not one time have i seen the power light not blink on start up since i bought it and then a miracle! i went to leave from work wednesday morning and i noticed something not right when i started it so i shut it off and started it again and sure enough the power light came on and went off! it shifted beautifully all that day and everything was cool but now it's blinking again and the shifts are the way they were again. i've tried starting it and and shutting off and starting again and it's worked a few times it. seems that turning on the parking lights helped make it not blink on start up then too. but now nothing works and it always blinks again. all i can say is WHAT THE HELL?!

i don't know it's possible.i need to look at the resistor up close and see if anything might be messed up.it don't make sense it would read infinite then just start working again.

You will have to replace the resistor.

My advice (Which nobody on this site will like) is to go to the Yahoo SVX site and explain your problem. Then ask specifically for advice from Martin Reigger and John Shotsky (John still reads the posts).

Good Luck.
