It would also be Barcelona Red with beige interior. They only came in the LS-L trim line. :)

And what a pretty pink it is! :D
Not if you keep it out of the sun, and/or polish the plastic and wax it! Some still look like the red, not pink! :D:D |
You shouldnt be allowed in this thread if you dont have a 93...

But while those sometimes get dull, none of the car is pink. :D |
Chris,
The last time I looked, parts of the driver were pink. :D :D :D Larry iii |
so basicly, since my svx is:
a '93 barcelona red beige leather interior then it's a 25th anniversary edition, because i know that they made 3,859 cars in 93 and only about 600 of them were the 25th anniv. limited edition. I didn't know if there was supposed to be some identifying feature or not. |
302 anniversary editions...

I also know that they're wrong. Or, at least, I have been given evidence that's convincing enough to say with some certainty that they are. The manager of distribution for Subaru of America told me that 301 '93 SVXen were built. Joe Spitz's site is the only place I've seen the 600 number claimed. These 301 SVXen were the only '93s built and shipped to the US. the 3,859 number most likely represents the number of SVXen sold that year, not built. There were hundreds of the cars left over from '92, so Subaru simply didn't build that many. 1993 also happened to be an anniversary year for SOA, so that worked out nicely. So, the 301 25th Anniversay SVXen in Barcelon Red with the beige interior was the only SVXen manufactured for 1993. What other evidence do I have? This: I have never seen another 1993 SVX in any color besides Barcelona Red. The only exceptions are '93s which have been repainted a different color by their owners. |
I would agree! :)

There was a gas leak in the rear near the fuel tank
It was repaired, but in the repair, another gas leak was created. When the car is started, gas runs down from above the tank. From what i can see, it might be rusty fuel line (the same problem as the previous fuel leak) but to be sure i would need to lower the gas tank. I looked for a repair manual and the only one i could find that covered the svx was a chilton entitled "Coupes/Sedans/Wagons 1985-96 Repair Manual". I bought it, only to find that the fuel system section only provides diagrams for the Impreza, Legacy, Justy, Coupe, XT, Sedan, Wagon, Loyale, and Brat. Not the svx. The only diagram that looks like it might be close to the svx say that to remove the tank i would need to first remove the exhaust pipe, muffler, seperate the reat axle shaft from the rear differential, remove the propeller shaft and the rear subframe. This sounds like a lot of work and i don't want to do it all, just to find out i didn't have to. I wanted to know if anyone has any idea on how to help me in my predicament. I would appreciate any help i could get. |
