just for poops & giggles this morning, i searched google images for sti svx and got this:

That's a riot! Subaru tranny's are rebuilt by a company here in the States, not by STI. STI had nothing to do with rebuilding SVX trannys then, and I doubt they do now!

The image is from a Japanese site, though, so who knows? I mean, I doubt it, too - but we don't have a context in which to put the image.

My tranny was rebuilt by GOD. I just don't have the sticker to prove it yet.

I doubt it. Subaru probably has rebuilders all over the place.

If the sticker is on a Japanese car, I might believe it. I find it more feasable though that STI helped re-design the SVX tranny after the first batch turned out to be problematic.

If it is a Japanese car, WHY IS THE STICKER NOT IN JAPANESE!:)

seems like the guy's tranny died and got a new tranny and during this time came up with an idea to make a sticker, not clear if the tranny was from subaru tho.... maybe someone with better japanese can explain what's up

JDM transmissions are NOT rebuilt by STi. They are rebuilt by a company in Osaka and only come with a 12 month/10,000km warranty.

The guy's transmission died, he got a Subaru rebuilt one and then decided to create a sticker to show that the transmission had been exchanged.

I knew it!


Now I just need to finish my "3.3L H6 TWIN TURBO 5,000HP" sticker and I'll be all set:):):)
