So my uncle works at stebro...

Alright.. so i was talking to my uncle the other day, and found out that he works for stebro. Pretty crazy stuff ;) I asked him to find out about a group buy. He worked out a deal for $995CAN+tax each if we bought approximately 5 systems, and $900CAN+tax each if we bought 10 systems.

Is this a good price, guys? If so, we can put together a group buy. All the money will be going through stebro, i'll just let them know who to be expecting money from. Reply to this post if interested.

Ticallion,

What is the approx. US - Canadian money exchange rate.

Ticallion 09-10-2002 06:48 PM

$900=572.692 USD
$995=633.143 USD

+taxes, +shipping of course

Seraph 09-10-2002 06:49 PM

if we are in the US, do we still have to pay tax?

Boone 09-10-2002 06:51 PM

Hmm.. not including shipping the last retail for a Stebro was $815 US. 995 CD = 633 US, 900 CD = 573 US This is a deal. :D (oops 500 posts  )

Ticallion 09-10-2002 06:54 PM

Yeah, canadian law is stupid. It's where you purchase the goods, not where you live. Kinda sucks. You still have to pay taxes.

So figure it out guys. Work out the finances, and let me know in this thread if you wanna continue with it.
I'm not affiliated with them, my uncle is. He does the welding for the muffler canisters. Any questions are to be directed to stebro.
Thanks

Other US SVX'rs have bought Stebro without paying CN tax (BLKSVX92 for one). Just $17 for an install kit and about $40 UPS. B. (thinking if I can skip a mortgage payment)

Ticallion 09-10-2002 07:12 PM

Really? I think he included the tax in the price then. I am pretty sure that you pay based on where you buy it from in Canada. Otherwise, i'd be paying full taxes when i go to Quebec... and i dont... i only pay 8%

This is the invoice from his locker. ;)

I read mention of an adaptor kit? Anyone out there

Thanks,

i'm in! my wife can do her own WRX mods! the SVX comes first. :)

Ticallion 09-10-2002 07:59 PM

I stand corrected. Daaayyyuuumm! I'm giving you guys quite the deal at $366 off retail :) and you don't even have to pay taxes!

If you've already broken your piggy bank and are CERTAIN that you want in on this, PM me with your full name and phone number. I will create a list, and give it to Stebro. They will work out all the finances and give you a call with the final price including shipping. Sound good?
Good

Sorry Ticallion, your wrong about the tax. Canadian law states that the tax depends on where the buyer takes delivery. IE if the goods are shipped directly from Stebro to the US no Canadian Provincial or Federal taxes apply. The US buyers may have to pay any US Federal and/or State taxes collected at the border.

If the product is shipped to another Province the Provincial tax scheme of the destination Province take precident. Sometime you can cheat & not pay Provincial tax but the GST/HST always wins.

Thanks svx_my_baby... i researched it also and found out the same thing :) I was a little curious after the question was posed.
So there you go guys. No taxes.
