Buffing waxing shops

So I was reading some of the olders posts in which various people talk about really cleaning and waxing the paint in a professional way to bring out the shine, and I started wondering what kind of shop would do this and what the costs would be.
My roof is looking kind of dull and my wife's has some scratches that need to be buffed out. Is this body shop work or is it an Auto Detailing shop that I should be talking to?

Sadly, you're a bit far for me to help you, but look into a detailing business. Body shops have guys who know how to buff a car, but they may be swamped with more pressing work. I do my own freelance detailing but Mechanicsburg is simply too far for me at this time.

You should have no trouble finding a local shop that offers detailing services. Many new car dealerships offer it, too. Ask to see an example of their work. An inexperienced person can ruin your car with a buffer.

Local going rate for a polish is about $100-125 for a good job (no waxing included in that). As Mike said about new dealers but personally I'd go with a indie body shop as they tend to care and most you can supply your own wax of choice if you can;t be bothered to wax it yourself. You're car could really use a hard and soft layer of Dodo Juice. If your wifes scratches are deep most good guys can heat up the paint and close the scratch, again, like was stated an inexperience person can ruin the paint pretty easily.
