Lowest milegae SVX in USA.

My 97 red/beige SVX has 64K miles on it. Since I have a black 95 also, I'm considering benching the 97 for ten (10) years with the hope of having the lowest mileage SVX in the USA by 2016.

Does anyone know of other SVX's with low miles. I'll bet there are some with lower miles than mine.

yeah, Shelfy has one with 12k I think... he has got you beat by a mile

I think Shelfy is up to about 14k now though.

Heck, my 94 is only at 67K and I dont drive it that often anymore. Just a few miles a month. Is Shelfy the person that bought the one with like 4000 miles on it about 2 years ago? I remember someone got one from a dealership that had never sold it until just resently. (last couple years)

There's no way in hell a car would ever sit at a dealership for that long, they have to pay taxes for them to sit in their lot. After 2-3 years dealerships practically give cars away that don't sell unless maybe the svx was some kind of nostalgiac show car they had in their display room for a decade.

A fellow, I think, in the San Francisco area bought the "no mileage" '97 at a dealership about three years ago. He checked in about a year ago with 5K on the clock.

Ron.

That was was said. It sat in the showroom. They had accaully passed on many offers prior. The person had experssed interest years before. The owner of the dealership finally decided to let it go and contacted the person. I just can remember who it was. I seem to remember it was either a north-west or mid-west US member.

I think Shelfy bought his used, and has had it more than 2 years. I could be wrong though.

Let me correct myself. The car was bought with 121 miles on it in 2002, by member LearJeff (a pilot, no surprise). His last post was in March of this year, when he menioned it had clocked 18K.

Ron (standing corrected).

solarsvx 11-30-2006 12:25 PM

i bought mine with 22k on it it now currently has 30k on it,

anthonybuchanan 11-30-2006 12:42 PM

There are a lot of low mileage SVX's around. Thats awesome.

I can't beleive there was a damn near new just sold a few yeras ago. That blows my mind.

Maybe I'll have to wait for 2027 or 2037 to be the lowest in the USA. That is assumming the other current low mileage folks put on around 5K per year.

That is probubly the guy I was thinking of. I was commenting on the fact that I had just picked up my 94 with something like 12K on it and thought I had the lowest. About 3 months later He popped up with the "new" car.
Crap.... Between 2002 and now I've put over 54K on the car.

My mileage: 54,000 / 4 years = 14,250 miles per year. Good thing I now have 2 other cars to take the miles.

Previous Owner's: 12,000 / 8 years = 1,500 miles per year.

:( I'm such a horrible person.

Why?? Isn't the point of having a car to drive it?? I mean, you don't buy a pair of shoes and vow never to wear them... or a profelactic(sp?):p :p
