The Block is already set. This thread is for the individual booking of rooms (and type of room) within that block. If we run out of rooms, we ca enlarge our original block to accommodate.

As of now we have 2 king suites reserved out of 5 available. if you want a king, book now as there are only 3 left and the possibly of getting additional king suites is slim.

This list is different from the sign-up list. Those actually staying at the hotel vs. those who are local who are just attending the meet and staying elsewhere.

Here are the latest Reading 16 hotel stats from the Holiday Inn less than 5 minutes ago.

Of the block of 43 available rooms, only 12 have actually been reserved

King Suites

Thursday Night 1 king room reserved

Friday Night 3 king rooms reserved 2 available

Saturday Night 3 king rooms reserved (4 available)


Twin Queen Rooms

Friday Night 2 queen reserved (13 available)

Saturday Night 3 queen reserved (12 available)


So there are a total of 31 rooms available which will be returned to the general inventory on April 1. The group rate will go away



With only 2 weeks until the reservation cutoff, only 25% of this block has been taken. We haven't even filled the minimum block they suggested.

Because of the small pickup in rooms the past couple of years, they had decided to limit our block severely. They originally only gave us 10 rooms (5 king and 5 two-queen) for Friday and 12 rooms (5 king and 7 two-queen) for Saturday.

There were a lot of rooms not picked up last year, less than 10. They still reminded me that most of the block went unfilled the past 2 years.

I told them I would try my best to fill whatever they gave me, and possibly surpass our block. They agreed to give us 20 rooms for each night, (5 king suites and 15 two queen suites) They added a special Thursday night for an early arrivee.

Reservation Cutoff Date for the preferred rate was WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1, 2015.

After that any rooms that were not reserved were returned to the general inventory. Rooms may not be available at the discounted rate after that date and on a space-available basis.
