SVX numbers in Canada
 

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forum. I just bought a 92 LS-L in the U.S. and am imorting it to Canada. I'm also looking for a good 93 Anniv. Edition.

I'm wondering if anyone knows how many SVXs were sold in Canada? I've seen the U.S. production numbers but nothing for Canada.

Do you have the # for Subaru Canada? I had to call Subaru of America to get the right number. It's at home so I can't post it at the moment.

I spent last week driving around the Canadian Rockies. 1700km and not one SVX. Not even that many Subarus...

I'm busy doing all the paper-work to import my first SVX into Canada. As soon as I get that done, I'll follow up with Subau Canada and post any reply I get.

I got a call from Subaru Canada today. Here are the Canadian (sales) numbers.

91 - 157
92 - 309
93 - 220
94 - 61
95 - 81
96 - 63
97 - 43
98 - 8

Talk about rare. I've seen a few go through the Toronto aution and there always seem to be one or two on Autotrader.ca. If anyone is interested and want help/assistance going after one let me know.

Thanks for the Canadian sales numbers! I'd always heard there were about 150 '96's and 75 97's imported, but apparently that was way off the mark. I guess I'm in elite company with the other 62 96's! Funny, with so few sales, Alberta (& Edmonton in particular) must have one of the greatest per capita SVX populations around. (Hey, those Washington state numbers are skewed by ... well, you know who). While many site members go gonzo over the occasional siting, I seem to catch at least a few, if not more, per week. Not the same car either. Anyway, my Polo Green (#795) is still running great, now with 89,157Kms (55,200 Miles).

One of the 97's is here in Winnipeg. I saw it several years ago and they wanted CAD$35,000 and it had 35,000kms.
