My car got hit 2...
 

So my friend got pissed off last night and took off in his car Problem is, he just got his car out of storage and wasn't used to the power and the car "torque-steered" into mine causing a little bit of damage but thankfully not too bad.

Edit: So why do you figure he didn't stop accelerating when he hit your car? Clearly his tire trail tells the story.

Rental car for 4 days... Enterprise will pick you up!replace the fender... repair the door... Paint the door an fender... blend paint into surrounding arrears... Take back rental car and Enterprise will take you back to the shop! Almost done! If the car looks better than before and is totally covered by insurance, you may want to thank the person that hit you! Then... All done!!!

I sure thanked the person that backed into me a few weeks back!:D

I'm planning on getting all of the parts from people here on the forum and all parts involved Shouldn't be half that and he's paying obviously. Also I was thinking it could be worse in the fact that it could have frame damage or the quarter panel could have gotten f**ked. So in requards to that... not bad. Also I took it for a drive today and took another good look and it drives exactly the same as before. Also door opens perfectly fine.

Well yes, I am hoping at sometime to get a new paint job at some time in the future. It already had stone chips in said fender, stone chips all over in the hood.

I guess I'm just too nice to people sometimes. He is one of my 2 best friends so that is why I'm cutting him a break.

understandable... I would probably do the same way as you:)

However... A friend should have insurance and insist on fixing your car...

He has insurance but niether one of us wants to have a claim and he doesn't want an accident on his car. He also has a high deductible so it's actaully just cheaper doing it this way since all his car needs is a right front fender believe it or not. My car already has an accident on the history although I have never found anything so I could've cared less either way.

i've had two guys screw up my cars:

my ex, of 2 1/2 years, put the dimple on my pearlie, and she was sold that way

and another guy hit the front of my xploder with his pickup (slipped on ice) and that isn't fixed...and i married that guy

to tell you the truth, my cars over the 10 years have been hit 5 times total when parked. only once was it by someone i didn't know. and every time i did a half arse fix up just to save the other person money. but i have to say if someone screwed up my new svx....i would want it back to prime. just me

If you don't report this to the "friends" insurance company you will live to regret it. either way the friendship is going to be strained so might as well get it strained by insisting on just doing it right.

Ask anyone who has been there.
