hard headed transmission
 

Hi
for a while now, whenever I start the car and drive it, the manual mode does not 'engage' for at least a minute.If, however, I start driving in manual Mode on first gear and give it a sudden acceleration right off the bat, it drives manually right away.
Electronics?

I don't understand.
Manual mode is to skip 1st gear in low traction areas. It should start out in 2nd gear.
It's not to shift manually.
What is your car doing?
