Smokies Meet Interest
 

I'm trying to see if there is enough interest for a “Fall Foliage” Smokies Meet this year.
If there is we need to start planning it soon.
I thought (after just returning form the Dragon) that we could make the meet drive a day event, drive through Townsand and down the Dragon to Fontana NC, for lunch at the Pizza Place, then on to Cherokee NC for a little site seeing ,(or a stop at the Casino)J, then back over the mountain to Gattlenburg, TN.
How’s that sound?
Any input would be appreciated.

Just like to know who's interested, and what dates are good for you? as nothing is set yet.

Are you going to do it in the Fall again? Our school system's Fall break this year is the week of Oct. 13-17.... Maybe one of those weekends (before or after)??? We could tack on a few extra days to visit Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge....

Duh... You did say "Fall Foliage" tour... my wife says I don't listen... guess I don't read too good either... Is Oct 13-17 too early for the leaves to turn????

I'll have to check on when the leaves start to change down there, I believe they change a little earlier than they do here.
Will try to get back with you on that date.

If it's just after the second Dragon meet this year then I'll really try to make it... I'm not sure yet or not... I've gotta start saving my money not though!!!It'll be around September right?? I'll just be returning from Australia and will have my car out by then!!!! Hella Yea!!!

no :( but waiting. one should come up in the future. i talked to the manager at the local subaru. know anyone who wants a xt w/turbo? he's willing to let it go for $1000 + tax, tag, and title. so around $1300. maybe some people from the xt forum would be interested.

i tried buying the other svx that was totalled through gotsubaru. he couldn't bid on it over the phone :(. apparently that svx keeps slipping out of my hands. first was on the lot, then it was at the insurance, and now it's at the salvage auction. oh well. guess i'll pick up an svx that calls to me :D. my last one did. i wasn't even looking for a car. just went looking with a friend and 'wham' bought the car that just got traded in :D. strange...
