summer is over

Re: summer is over
I was waiting for someone to post a snow pic from Colorado! I guess that same system wrecked NE Oklahoma with winds and flooding. And I'm moving back why? Oh yeah, I'd rather deal with heat and bad storms then snow

Re: summer is over
:( Me want. Well no, not yet. In about a month, then I want lots of snow.

Re: summer is over
It is always a national emergency here, in D.C., if it snows. Schools close, government closes, airports close... last year I think they even closed on PREDICTIONS of snow... fun stuff.
I miss snow. :o |
Re: summer is over

Re: summer is over
From what I understand, this winter is supposed to be very white just about everywhere... I sure hope so:)

i don't. driving behind some white-knuckled goon in a Dodge Charger with summer tires going 10mph in the snow is not my idea of fun. |

On a side note, our shop was right at the bottom of Mt Rose highway, at the end of a descent of about 3000 feet in a few miles worth of road. At least twice a day, sometimes 6 or 7 times, someone would pull into out lot with their brakes smoking heavily from riding the pedal alllll the way down from the pass. Its great how many people go through life not giving a second thought about their driving habits and the catastrophic damage it can do to their cars  Postcount +1 !! |
Re: summer is over
i also remember being in my LGT with SNOW TIRES and sliding around a bit because the roads were icy. i was driving about 30mph (speed limit was 35mph), and a Camaro with big WIDE rear wheels starts riding my ass. i'm in the right lane, so after a while he passes me. i was hoping to see him wrecked into a pole further down the road, but unfortunately i didn't.
