Code 34 HELP!!
I am getting a code 34 (EGR solenoid valve inoperative) and was wondering how I would go about trying to remedy the situation. Is is something that is easy to do in general. How about for a mechanically challenged individual?

I had that code come up for me a few times last winter. Before replacing the EGR solenoid, which is not easily accessibly, check all of your vacuum lines to the EGR, your electrical connectors, and so on. I had a couple of small vacuum hoses that had come off. It was trial-and-error for a while, but it finally seemed to go away for good and I didn't replace the EGR solenoid or valve.
