Welcome to our newest member: Tokyo-KT

I would like to welcome our newest member and a fan of the Alcyone SVX, Tokyo-KT.

Few days ago I have decided to start contacting our Japanese counterparts and a very nice guy replied to me by email.

I invited him to come join our community and share some of the very interesting information about our beloved cars.

Tokyo-KT was the one who organized the 2006 15th anniversary SVX meeting in Japan. Everybody please welcome this great guy!

Well Hello! Tokyo-KT, and you are very welcome.

In the Irish language we would say 'Cead mile failte', this means one hundred thousand welcomes.

It's very nice to have an SVX fan from Japan with us. If we can be of help in showing you how to operate the forum features, please ask, we will do our very best to help in any way.

Please post pictures of your car and your events when you know how to use the uploads.

I don't think we can work with the Japanese character set using this software, but we have Japanese speakers here who I am sure would help in translating for you.

Welcome.

Joe

Hi All,
I am Tokyo-KT.

Let me introduce myself.
I live in Tokyo,Japan.
Sorry, I am not good at English.
The translation software writes these sentences.

I bought SVX three times.
The first is black. The grade is VL. It became a disused car because of the crash.
The second is VL of silver 3tones. This SVX always outed off form, and broke
down.
It was bumped from behind by the big truck and it became a disused car.
The third SVX is very good. So many modifies. It is a smooth, excellent,
comfortable GT car.

Buona notte.

Finally here you are! Welcome welcome!

Do not worry about English my friend, excellent written skills is not a requirement around here. As long as you post in English even if written in a wrong way, we have no problem with that.

We salute you again:

Yes it is Gaelic Jay, Gaeilge. The Irish word for the language is Gaeilge.

Spoken Irish Gaeilge and spoken Scottish Gaelic is very similar. I can understand Scots Gaelic if I watch Scottish TV. The languages have differences though, but they sound very similar.

Joe ;)

That's as I came to understand it. I used to read under an author who favored Gaelic, his primary character would use the phrase Cead mile failte, and i understood it from that, spoken in the "language of the kings". Funny how two languages can be separate, but if you speak one you can understand the other.

That's true.

What's even funnier on a really small island like the Emerald Isle, we have three distinct dialects of Irish here. They are Munster, Connemara and Donegal or Ulster Irish.

Having been taught through Munster Irish as a child, I find the Donegal Irish most difficult to understand, their inflections are markedly different from the other two. Grammatically and as written though, they are much the same.
