wheels

hey guys,

i have a 94 svx lsi, and when i went to get a new set of tires put on, they showed me that one of the original wheels was cracked, and that the other 3 were dinged and dented pretty good too. So, i've been lookin on the net for a replacement set of 4 wheels/tires and am having a difficult time. im in maine so i don't want to go bigger than the 16" (crazy potholes and frostheaves up here... in fact that's why i had to get a new set of tires in the first place, damn goose eggs). anyways, i've digressed from what i was getting at. i am under the impression (from a friend that also has a svx) that the following specs are what i need to look for:

size: 16"
lug spacing 5x114.3
offset 42+mm

the only thing i've been able to find so far is a direct factory replacement, and they're 170 bucks a piece (just for the wheel). was hoping someone on here has run into a similar issue before and could kindly point me in the right direction, or shed some light on this (this is the first car i've had where rims are going to be replaced)

thanks a bunch! :-)

'92-'97 are the same.

yah i've been there already there unfrotunately, and none match the specs i listed (assuming i listed them correctly) except for the ones that are currently out of stock.

Re: wheels

They don't have to be exactly +42. A couple of numbers up and they are still compatable.

Re: wheels

ohhhh

well that makes things a lot easier... when it says 114, is that shorthand for 114.3, or is it actually 114? Thanks a bunch blacky :-)

Re: wheels

Stock is +55. Almost nothing is +55, so anything between 42 and 55 will do you fine. The widest 16" wheel you will typically find is 7.5", which should be readily available in a +48 offset.

Yes, 114.3 is commonly listed at 114.

Nice looking wheel and only $390.00 for the set. I wonder about the center cap?

They are special order. It only takes a few days extra. Give them a call.
