1994 Pearl LSi 37,165 miles in my driveway : )

Oops I did it again. I bought a second SVX. My other one is a 1994 SVX L FWD Laguna Blue with custom Motorsports Leather seats. I bought the Pearl from the original owner, a 79 year old guy with PMS. It was too good to pass up. The car drives very very well and is fast.

The tires are Mirada on stock rims. The rims are okay. I would get something custom. It needs a drivers door sill and one more remote -- which I just ordered. The interior is excellent. The owner never used the moon roof and didn't know how to operate it -- it works perfectly. Even the visors stay up. He only used the cd player once, and this works perfectly. The front mat, especially the driver's side is worn. The front bumper has a missing paint area, so does the rear bumper, the driver's side front fender has a ding, and the passenger side door has two tiny dings that could be removed with the paintless method. The rear spoiler has two chip areas and could benefit from repainting.

The owner gave me a receipt for 1300 and change from last month to replace two front cats and head pipes. I spoke to the dealer where he bought the car and they told me it was well taken care of. The car also just passed inspection.

I had my local guy change the oil, check all fluids, tire pressure etc. I gave him a Subaru filter. He said everything underneath looked good. He said brake pads are still good. If I keep the car I will replace rotors, pads, and cables with raceconcepts dimpled/slotted.

The only thing the owner didn't remember if he had changed the timing belt.

The car also came with a custom fitted gray car cover that's in good condition, but has a few stains.

At 27,000 miles he had all fluids changed inc tranny and diffs, and 2 new 02 sensors

So there it is. I can't believe I now own such a low mileage SVX. Unbelievable.

Oh yeah, I'm getting the window tints removed on Monday -- they were in bad shape.

I know Jeff, who live a few miles from me might be interested in the Pearlie.

My son told me he likes the look of the Pearlie better than the blue and would be happy to drive either in 2 years to his senior year in High School.

Maybe I do need two.

[QUOTE=DanSVX94] I bought the Pearl from the original owner, a 79 year old guy with PMS.

No wonder he had to sell it. Pre-Menstrual Syndrome (PMS) is VERY rare among men, especially those in the 70-90 age group!

I'm sorry the guy's health forced him to sell his car, which he obviously loved and cared for very much. Looks as though you've got a great car and I hope it gives you many years of trouble-free service that always puts a smile on your face.

By PMS I meant the guy was on the rag and cranky. His health was fine. In fact, he's getting a brand new VW next week. Funny thing he signed the title with a pen that was freebie from Viagra. I just put a battery in the remote and it works great, plus the car even had the gray accessory under passenger seat tray.

As a side note...those Viagra/Drug Company pens are some of the best pens i've ever used!

I really don't mind if i'm advertising for Ovarian Cyst medication - it writes well and its freeeeeee.

Wonder what makes him cranky? Maybe his aspirations, fueled by Viagra are going unfulfilled. I've never seen a Viagra pen. I assume it to be a ball-point type, non-retracting. Maybe this thread needs to take another direction.

Dan, you're on long island and have an SVX. You need to come to a long island subaru club meet!!! It's a great local site. I know Mike621 has driven from PA to hang out with us more than a couple times! Having another SVX around would be cool! Especially since you have 2 now, and I am the moment don't even have one. Although i'm working on fixing that situation!

Ah, a rare color for that year as well (Only about 80 somethin pearls in 94)
Good thing it's going to an enthusist. Have many happy miles with her (But not too many miles;) )

Thanks, I didn't know there were so few pearls in 94. I spent 7 hours yesterday and 7 today detailing the car. Subaruparts.com sent the door sill and it arrived as I finished. I even repainted the wiper arms. It feels weird having so many cars. I'll post some pictures soon. I'm starting to appreciate the pearl color more. I'm having a local place remove the bad window tinting on Monday for $100. I'm planning on going to Tom's garage for a timing belt, water pump, tune-up, tranny cooler, all new fluids, etc in the near future.

For the remote, instead of buying 8 batteries at 5 bucks a pop, I got two larger batteries at radio shack for a total of 4 bucks. It works.

I want to replace the rims with a 16 inch size so I don't have to get new tires. And I hope I can get the rims for about $400.

I also plan on checking out one of the subaru club meetings.

Preston, you Texas longhorn you!!

Ball-point type and non-retracting!! ROFLMAO:D :D

I figure Viagra sales must be disappointing in Texas. You guys are well up for it.

 :)

Congrats Dan

The Pearlie sounds like a beauty. Take good care of it.

Give your son the AWD one I think they are so much safer. I had an SVX in high school, it gave me confidence, it helped my social life, and my sex life. There is this a great position involving the moon roof. Hope I'm allowed to say that on here.

So long as you did not say sexual position, we mods will overlook it.

I'm presuming here you must mean a stand-up position for hunting varmints with a rifle, or possibly stargazing with a telescope or something?:D Yeh?

Joe:)

And DID the AWD give you more confidence at the time?
