OK, I give up. How do you get the smilies into the text of a message? When I click on one of them, it just posts it at the beginning. But I see they can be in the text, too. So, how is it done?

svxter, the only other forum I've been on that has used smilies is the I-club. They have a pop-up window that gives you a legend. In other words, it shows what to type to get a particular smiley. As in my test, a semi-colon and a parentheses will give you a winking smiley.
I haven't found that legend here yet, I guess we could copy it off the I-club site and paste it to the monitor :)

Criminy, never mind! Just go to the FAQ. It has the legend and everything you would want to know about SMILIES! :)

While we're asking newbie questions, what comes after Junior Member? And how many posts will it take Aredubjay to get there? :)
