4.11 question
 

how do you know which tranny's are 4.11 or 4.44? certain cars? certain #'s?

also... one would need to change the rear diff gears to complete the change, correct? if so, just the r/p gears inside the existing svx diff?

if i have a fwd tranny can i convert it to an awd tranny by simply adding the awd transfer assy from my existing svx tranny?

That might not work. There are additional wiring on the inside of the tranny that you would have to add. Which means you will need to remove the valve body rewire the tranng and them put everything back together. I still think you would be asking for problems.
Skill level = 10 for this one.

I would not try it.

p.s. most 2.5l GT Legacy's are 4.11, get vin and have dealer run it to be sure.
