replace engine cover w/H6 cover
 

Somehow/some place, the engine cover on my 95 SVX was lost/misplaced and I just noticed it. So much for tracking it down. I saw a listing on CL for a H6 engine cover for a Legacy (doesn't say what year). Can this fit w/major alteration? I know anything can be made to fix w/money but I'm not looking for a major effort.

I don't think that would fit.

Not easily anyhow. To the best of my knowledge the Legacy never got the EG33, only the newer 3.0 litre engine. The 3.0 litre had plastic intake ports, and is likely to be a different shape.

i have a 08 3.0r and the cover is massive. the only similiarites (off the top of my head) are the two mounting points. But if I had to guess, they are much farther apart then on the SVX. It is also somewhat thick so I would also guess it would hit the underside of the hood. And the least technical is the fact it would just look out of place lol

Spend less money and get the correct one. The one on Craigslist will NEVER fit.

You are just missing the back cover, correct? Do you have the front piece that covers the center of the manifold?
