Do you have problems with your SVX Sunvisors?

Do you have problems with your SVX Sunvisors staying up? If so, what did you do to take care of the issue, is there a Subaru fix or ????

There's at least one good fix on this site for droopy visors. Use the search and you should find it quite easily.

I just replaced my droopy passenger visor when it started drooping. Now I don't let anyone use my visors. :p

Thanks for the info, II think i'll be trying one of the two fixes soon.

Thanks again.

I checked "both." The seller replaced the driver's visor before I bought the car, while the one on the other side is beginning to droop. Have to say that's pretty low on my list of priorities, so long as it's out of the passenger's line of sight.

I'm still trying the fixes, but I just replaced them so I wouldn't go crazzy. And no, I don't let anyone use them either. :)

I have unique, but workable, fix. I have the plastic clips off those visor-clip airfresheners wedged in the trim to support the visors. Works really well, but have to warn anyone who doesn't know about it not to just grab the visor and pull down (that would break my clips and make me cry) :D

the root of the visors problems are from being used too much. Find someone tall and buy a car from them :)

Or slap a couple of used legacy visors on. :)

I broke down a couple of years ago and bought a new passenger side visor as it was driving me crazy. I cringe whenever my gf uses it.

My only problem is bashing myself in the face when I yank the thing out to turn it to the side...

i voted for the both visors have issues option. in the claret, both sag a little, but not enough to consider replacing them. the passenger side droops a little more (probably cause it's the one that has the garage door opener). the polo's visors are perfect (like every thing else on the car). :D

My '96 L with 103K miles has visors which are as good as new!

my viser (drivers side) when you have it down..the magnet isent keeping it up so you cant tilt it all the way vertical if not the flap, flaps down in your face..the passenger side stays up when you pull it down but it sags when you have it up ....one of these days when ive got time and am not lazy ill do that sunvisor mod in the how to documents

My visors are happy and I'm constantly moving em - I hate sunlight but I cant see the lights change with em down.

svx_commuter 11-13-2004 12:32 PM

I fixed it with electrical tape 2 years ago. Wrapped it around the shaft and jamed it back together, disconnected the light.
