Door Panel Bubbles
 

Anyone have a few mysterious bubbles in the vinyl behind their door panels? I noticed that I have a few on the inside of the right door panel above the arm rest. What is causing this? Water? I have no apparent leaks anywhere...Ideas?

I do not have them but I would like to know.
Are they soft if you touch them and compress to where they should be? You know can you push the bubble down and looks okay then?

As if the bubbles are in the foam and not the outer vinyl covering. I push them back in and they will pop out a bit. So pushing on them won't fix it. ?? Really strange... I wonder if any water got in there and expanded the foam when it dried?

I was thinking it may be possible to put some glue under the vinyl but if it's deeper into the foam I don't know. Maybe with a needle or something.

Again...Does anyone have these bubbles beneath their door vinyl???

I got one in the rear pasenger side panel.

I was talking to a friend of mine about this and he said that it is the glue that let go from the pannel in those places. You could reattach it with more glue, but the only way to do it is from the back side of the pannel. He has a jeep that has had that happen to it as well. :(

Its nearly impossible to pull up the door vinyl (I wouldn't recommend it!) Getting to these spots from the back would be quite cumbersome. I wonder if you could make inject some glue through a needle into this spot??

I would hate to make it look worse than what it does not. I wonder if a heat gun would warm the material and allow the glue to stick again.

If the foam backing is anything like the stuff used by Mopar for their late '80s headliners, you be in a world 'o hurt. The stuff turns to powder & anything injected just won't stick. I suggest covering with aluminum siding.
