...For some reason I think its hilarious...
you mean to say...that in california..the state where everything causes cancer...It is illegal to have engine modifications to your car? Lol, that was a civic..okay? all the modifications he did were to keep up with freeway traffic.

Welcome to California..... where "police" and "state" come together.

intelisevil 03-12-2006 11:34 PM

Stickers = Racer?

Blue hose = Illegal?

"Impound for evidence"?

You can be arrested because the officer thinks your car might be modified?

This video helps to explain the overcrowding in our jails and why we can never find a cop when we need one . . . :rolleyes:

I feel if you make a law, you should enforce it... So in that way, this is at least a halfway decent training video.

On the other hand, the fact that so much is blamed on automotive gasses, when it causes less than 5% (don't remember how low of a number it was when I researched it, however I know it was under 5) of all air pollution is rather rediculous. Also the extent to which california prosecutes these offenses, and the limit they place on modification of personal property is rather rediculous. I say unless they can prove that it somehow makes other people less safe, or that it emits a significant value of harmful gasses over the standard.

that was just a mountain of monkey sh*t

next thing you know, they'll pull over every SVX because it looks too "sporty"

Add to the list:

Tinted side windows
subwoofer systems
... and a lot more

They are using polution controll laws for street racing controll? So it is now illegal to drive a car you drive on the street and also use on the race track? How do they know what what the drivers are going to do? The BS part is the way the video was made, street racing is illegal, so go crack down on it! Now they are going after people who "might" street race? Why don't they go arrest ALL the new hemi Charger drivers? I'm sure those guys would kick the snot out of that little ricer :D

California law says lighted (LED) windshield washer nozzles are legal, as long as they are white or yellow (25106 VC, 24003 VC). If you have blue ,purple, red, green, orange, or magenta you should be arrested, as all the taste you have left is confined to your mouth. :D

This poor guy's problem was he was using his LEDs as a "poor man's HID" setup. :p
