Outside temperature sensor location?
As in the one that tells you what the outside temp is when you push the button.
Anyone? Bueller? |
Re: Outside temperature sensor location?
Right beside your vin plate on the windshield. It's a little black circle.

Re: Outside temperature sensor location?
The sensor on the dash is the "sunlight sensor" used for the HVAC computer.
The thermo sensor to give the outside temp is I think behind the front bumper cover? I've seen it, just can't recall where it is right now??? |
Re: Outside temperature sensor location?
That doesn't make any sense; that's got to be the sunload sensor. I think we're looking for the ambient sensor, which is usually under the front bumper.
EDIT: ^^ You beat me! |
Re: Outside temperature sensor location?
And what does the sunload sensor do?

EDIT: NON-BS answer - Used by the A/C to detect how much light the cabin is getting and adjusts HVAC to compensate |

Re: Outside temperature sensor location?
do a search! it should be in the front bumper! noone remember it why do you need to know? to polish it and get better temp reading?
lol, there're some really high-end luxurious car way even smarter than you and our SVXi. they're equipped with infrared thermometer sensors at different locations under your butt and somewhere near your head and body to better measure each passenger's body temperatures to provide the best air-conditioning/climate control experiences, ever. |
Re: Outside temperature sensor location?
It is mounted right in front of the condensor.
