What does SVX stand for?
I know, a rookie question, but I don't believe that I've seen it in print.
I once knew what BRAT stood for and it was out there: Bi-Racial Attack Truck:D , or something like that. Let's see SVX = Spensive Vehicle X-tras? |
Saftey Vehicle eXperimental
Subaru Vehicle X Some Vauge Xylaphone |
I've heard it stands for Sports Vehicle eXperiment

Saftey Vehicle eXperiment

I brought that question up to the Subaru engineers from Japan at the 10th Anniversary meet in Lafayette. They seemed to recollect that the name assigned to it in development was Subaru Vehicle #10, or Subaru Vehicle X (roman numeral)
I also have heard Subaru Vehicle Xperimental, Safety Vehicle Xperimental and Specialty Vehicle Xperimental. |
OMGWTFBBQSVXLMAOW/EH/OBRB
Stupid abbrevs. |
The Special or Safety Vehicle Experimental sound about right. Look at WRX. If I recall correctly is World Rally Experimental or something along those lines.
|
Well, while we're at it, does LS, LS-L, and LSi have any particular meaning beyond the sales room floor ooh and ahh effect (and of course the fact that the LS-L and LSi are the upgrade models).

SVX= whatever the hell you want it to mean
