full 6spd swap from 2007 STi

I am selling my full 6spd swap that has less than 15k miles on it. The tranny and R180 rear diff had only ~9k miles on it when I got it and on the very high side I have only put about an additional 5k miles on it. The swap was done using YT's x-member and pedal box. Details are:

2007 STi 6 spd transmission
R180 rear differential
Tomssvx x-member and pedal box
STi starter
STi flywheel (stock)
STi clutch (stock)
STi clutch master cylinder
STi rear axles (you use SVX front axles and I swapped the seal in the front diff so you get a nice proper fit with no leaks)
Kartboy shifter bushings
Kartboy shortshifter
Group N Tranny mount
Rear diff x-member (it needs to be ground down a little bit to fit the larger rear diff so I will include this)

Basically everything you need to turn your SVX into a 6spd manual. Everything is in great shape, clutch grabs like new, no gear grinding or other funny noises from the transmission.

Price $3,900 plus shipping (can deliver between MA and VA for a little extra $)

Why are you selling?
I'm really interested, but that is more than 4 times what I paid for my car :D

I am parting out my car because I am going to be moving and will have no place to keep it. Where in VT are you? I am only about 45-50 minutes from the MA/VT border.

I'm in Chester, also only about 45 mins from the border. Is it already removed from the car or would you consider selling the whole car?

Re: full 6spd swap from 2007 STi

It is still in the car and I would be willing to sell the whole car but it will not have the engine or my ECU and it has no interior.

Weren't you planning to swap all the good parts into another SVX after the branch fell on the Silver?

So this is the non-smashed car? :D

This is a 1992 Ebony that I bought in CT, swapped everything from my silver onto, raced, enjoyed, etc, but now have to sell because I am moving and will not be able to keep it. :(

To steal a line from the AT&T 4G advertisements... That was so 3.5 years ago

Ugh... Why must you tempt me so?

Now hypothetically speaking, the 2007 is the one with the best highway gearing, correct? What sort of RPMs were you seeing at 60-65?

I honestly do not remember, but you are correct this is the one with the 3.54

The 2007+ trans had the lower number ratio of the WRX trans. To get a lower number you need to swap the 5-6 gear from a Legacy in. I did this on my 2006 trans with a specially made woodruff key. Its a direct fit for the 2007+ trans. The only downside of the 2008+ trans is that it has no speed sensor. There is an option around that though.

Re: full 6spd swap from 2007 STi

Are you returning the car to stock and selling it or is it just a straight part out? Not judging just curious. Sorry for the thread hijack.

Re: full 6spd swap from 2007 STi

considering the car was already a gutted race car essentially, no I am not returning it to stock
