new wrx time. o/t
fri went to the track and ran 12.90 @ 106 with only 15 psi, just over 1 bar on stock top mount intercooler,, not too bad
im saving up for the UTEC and FMIC and then it is going to set for 24 psi and hopefully just hopefully it will break in the 11s the new turbo is able to do it, ohh also this is on stock injectors also and piggy back super AFC wish me luck guys |
That's awesome! What was the break down of your timeslip for that 12 sec run? What kind of 60' times are you cutting?
-Chike |
60' was 1.8
this was on pump gas also |
Am I stupid or does your trap speed seem low. Especially with a 1.8 60' I would think you would trap higher. Maybe I have it backwards.
Anyways, if you can do this with a regular WRX, what's the point of an STI again? Have you spent enough to equal the cost of the STI yet? You're certainly going much faster. |
AWD car tend to have slower traps but make it up on the 60' times

For example, a rwd car will need to trap at roughly 100mph inorder to run a 13.9. AWD cars can generally trap around 96-98mph and be in the high 13's... -Chike P.S. Look at the www.scoobymile.com website to see what I mean. You'll see a bunch of awd Imprezas in the 13 sec club, with trap speeds of 96mph or lower... |

AWD cars can launch harder than RWD cars without losing traction. This would not include using slicks. I've run my dad's 1969 Nova SS w/ 5.12 rearend and slicks to a 13s 1/4 with a trap speed of only 100mph. The car is a beast out of the hole! |
