New rotor opinions please

I was pricing rotors from Adams Rotors for my 1996 Polo. They have a honeycomb pattern on the front rotors and a radial slot pattern on the back. Also black ceramic top hats and the high-carbon rotor which is harder, more temperature resistant and resistant to corrosion. http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/atta...1&d=1590765157 The price for the complete set of four, delivered, is $555.40. Not sure I want to invest that much. Any suggestions for a decent rotor? I am thinking about a plain rotor without slots or dimples. But a decent, high-quality unit. Do not autocross. StopTech? Centric? Cryo frozen rotors? |
Re: New rotor opinions please
I used Cryo treated ones from Applied Rotor Technologies in California the last two times I got rotors. But I think they are out of business.
The first set was great. Second set they sent were made by Centric which they treated. The fit was poor and I had to have them cut down on a lathe to stop scraping. The fronts have also warped slightly. Not a glowing report for Centric. |

I got R1 Concepts to send me out these to New Zealand, together with Red Stuff pads - that was 10 years ago and no warpage or dust like the OEM ones.

Re: New rotor opinions please
Thats the first time I have seen those honeycomb pattern rotors. Any real world benefit or it is mostly for "bling" factor.
