Dustin and myself will be going on the drive tomorrow to map it out for anyone interested.
The plan is that was meet early on Saturday and go for a scenic drive. Then we will return and have the BBQ at Brackenridge Park. I am not sure how many are up for the drive thus why the BBQ will be after the drive.

Hey,
Once Dustin and myself map out the drive today, we'll let you know how long it will take and that will give us a better idea what time to schedule it. I know you are driving down from Dallas so I am thinking you need to be alotted like 5 hours for that. Are you staying in SA overnight or you doing a round-a-bout and returning to Dallas the same day?

Re: Texas!

round-a-bout. doesn't matter what time we leave san antonio...for the drive there we need to know what time we need to leave dallas. what time is the drive starting?

:D:D

The drive is gonna be LOTS of fun! It's about 140 miles and gets VERY twisty in some spots. Caution is the name of the game for Saturady, we dont want anybody shaking hands with a rock wall face or tree.......

The numbers for the meet are looking pretty good so far;

For the drive we've got:
Me
Marisa
Apocalixto
Tomas (if keri ever calls him back about finally buying the SVX from her)
Shaun (possibly)

And for the BBQ: (everybody already listed)
Scott
Skip
Don (possibly)

Plus any other Subaru's that show up. I think a few WRX guys might join us and heard talk of acouple Legacys/Outbacks joining aswell.

Im gonna try and borrow a camcorder and attempt to make the "in-car camera mount" that they showed on the last PRoN episode.

Hope that gives anyone a rough idea of what the drive will be like.

1604 & Highway 16/Bandera Road, left onto Park Road 37, right onto Ranch Road 1283, left onto Highway 16/Bandera Road, keep right on Highway 16/173, take Highway 16/Medina Highway to IH-10, IH-10 & 1604 (less than 5miles from where we start )

Dustin

Ps. Just to make things clear, the route is the red (with patches of yellow) line.

I am ordering new mounts, but had better not drive it much with blown mounts. I will be there for the bbq, and anything that may happen afterwards.

We are pretty much wondering when you can be here so we can schedule it. lol Cause you are looking at maybe a 5 hour drive possibly.. so lets say you leave at 7am, here by noon, then we can go for the drive at 1pm, get back around 3pm and have the bbq.
Originally I thought we could do the drive at like 11:30 to make sure we are done around 2pm and then we can have the BBQ but I don't want you to miss the drive sooo when are you arriving? lol

I think you should come friday night. lol i have 2 comfy couches...... ask Shaun.

Saturday, July 19th: BBQ/Hill Country Drive Update

BBQ Schedule is:

12pm (noon):
Hill Country Drive before the BBQ which will take about 2 hours in length. We will be meeting at the Home Depot off of Bandera.
The path is essentially: 1604 & Highway 16/Bandera Road, left onto Park Road 37, right onto Ranch Road 1283, left onto Highway 16/Bandera Road, keep right on Highway 16/173, take Highway 16/Medina Highway to IH-10, IH-10 & 1604 (about 5 miles from where we start) - Route: http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...t/447555e2.jpg

3pm:
BBQ time @ Brackenridge Park - corner of Tuleta and Brackenridge Dr (Picture: http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...t/0066be47.gif ). We will go directly there from the hc drive so it may start a little eariler, just depends on how long the drive takes.

The BBQ will go on as long as everyone wants but I would say at least until 6pm.

Again, I'm still looking for grilling volunteers otherwise.. lets hope i don't burn anything!

going to buy the supplies tomorrow (technically later today).
