Search problem
 

Can an Administrator help or enlighten me please?

When accessing the Search facility, the messages searched seem to be exclusively those on the Yahoo forum. No problem with that so far, I am looking for information on part numbers for rear wheel bearings and so on, and have found most of what I need.

However, when I click on the search button on the top panel of this search page, it opens another application, "search the SVX Network", presumably all our posts on the Network. Good so far in theory.

Here is the problem; no matter what search you run, try "Subaru" or "SVX" which you would expect to deliver a lot of positives, the search returns no hits or 1 or 2 only. Any hits found will be from the SVX News sector[which I was unaware of], the search seems not to query the main posts sector. This is with the "all topics" selector highlighted, not the "SVX News" option.

Any ideas from the Admin side, or am I doing it wrong??

OK, I have seen the light, at least according to Don.

I had been trying to access the search facility through the message archives section, instead of through the button provided on the Forum page.
