1996 LSI Trany 89K Ready to GO !!!
Ok so it’s time for me to put this ad. I was waiting for a few people but now one came up with the money so far so I decided to list it. It’s 1996 LSI AWD Trany in good working condition. When was flushing fluids both of them were clean from trany and differential. So it should be a good swap for some one who is looking for a good trany. I can include rear differential and TCU if needed. So PM me with your offers. Thanks Dan :)

Check your PM. I built it from plans set to me from down under . Possibly only one of 3 or 4 SVX with a hitch .

Re: 1996 LSI Trany 89K Ready to GO !!!
This guy promised me the tranny was good, and guess what, to no ones surprise, the Vineland wrecking crew strikes again. Tranny is junk. Tranny shop did everything as I instructed, flushed cooler lines, made sure torque converter was all the way in the bell housing, changed filter and filled with fresh synthetic ATF, and now the tranny doesnt shift properly and thumps and binds and makes whining noises, like a siren on an emergency vehicle coming to a stop. Please dont anyone buy anything from Ilovesvx unless you know for sure that the part works. He agreed before I bought it to refund my money if it was no good, I have notified him of that, and am waiting for his response as of this post. He also sold it to me without the transfer case, had to use the one from the original bad tranny

Re: 1996 LSI Trany 89K Ready to GO !!!
UPDATE: I broke down in the car today on the way to work. I think front diff. locked up, car came to a violent jolting stop from 60MPH, pretty scary:eek: Luckily I was coming up on an exit ramp and turned off on it. Car stopped half way down the inclined exit ramp. Front wheels locked even in neutral. Flatbed driver sprayed my front wheels with WD-40 to pull up the flatbed. Then when he unloaded it at my house the front wheels started rolling again:confused: Anyway, I had just picked up the car from the tranny shop yesterday, Friday the 10th, and right away I knew it was no good. From a stop it would not shift out of first until 4000rpms, and made a crazy whining noise. Looks like I not only need another tranny, but a front diff as well.:( I swear, I have the worst luck of anyone. Its just not fair.

Even if you get a refund on the tranny, what about all the labor and towing costs etc.? I don't like the sound of this.

Re: 1996 LSI Trany 89K Ready to GO !!!
I have AAA, so there was no towing charge. The Labor Im stuck with, although the shop said they would work with me on another tranny install. Maybe I should have just done a rebuild, at least it would have been warranted, and have new parts.:o
