Snow Anyone

Well there's 22 inches on my driveway and it's still sleeting. I'd better go out and clean off SVXY and shovel. See you all, much later.

Be careful, Larry. :)

Take care there Larry...

Jean shattered her ankle on sleet a few years back....be very, very careful.

All you shovelers out there....take it easy on your heart. Especially our AARP members, such as myself! :D Don

I just got word from the wife that a buddy of mine just plowed my driveway and will return again tomorrow once it all has stopped. WOOHOO!!

That is the first time ever that I didn't have to shovel the old parking lot I call a driveway. I shovelled a bit this morning and gave up after 5 minutes due to my ears almost snapping off. God Bless you old guys out there shovelling. Don't have a heart attack and die. :D

Thanks to all who reminded me not to overdo it and get a heart attack. You're a little late. The Naviguesser tells me that everytime I clean snow off the driveway. You see all my relatives on my dad's side died of heart attacks (cancer on my mom's side). Everytime the Naviguesser tells me to becareful because I'm not as young as I used to be, I tell her the following:

" I'M NOT AS GOOD AS I ONCE WAS, BUT I'M AS GOOD, ONCE, AS I EVER WAS !!! ":D :D

I had a rental car for the weekend, an '02 Infiniti Q45. It did quite nicely in the ice we got Saturday night, and the GF and I decided to be idiots and try to take it out for a spin Sunday. It spun its wheels (traction control on and off) trying to get out of the complex I live in, so after an hour of pushing and shoveling we managed (with the help of 3 others) to get it into a parking space on a side street. Ran back in garage. Fired up SVX. Pulled out of garage. Aimed directly for the same driveway that crippled the Q. Plowed through in a glorious four-wheel drift. Comment from girlfriend: "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!":D

I've lived in the same house for 25 years. I shoveled snow once (about 20 years ago). Not only did my ears snap off, but my nose snapped off, I almost had a heart attack and I threw my back out. Not to mention, it was sooooo cold, it was a week before I could pee standing up again. :D I don't shovel any more. I just buy AWD's and drive through the yard. :)

LarryIII 02-18-2003 07:08 PM

Randy,

You're real lucky something else didn't snap off.

or

How cold was it?

Just workin' hard; I rarely get a chance to stop in to any of the clubs anymore, unfortunately :( But, I will be at Reading! The past few days in the SVX have been quite something. There were several instances in which I thought the back end of the car **might** swing around on me, but it never, ever got to that point. Yes, it spins all four wheels and yeah it slides around a bit, but it goes! And the slackjawed oh-you'll-never-get-anywhere-in-that-oh-excuse-me expressions from onlookers doesn't hurt, either! :D

I got that look from a fellow in a pickup with a snow blade on it, this morning. He had pulled to one side to let me drive into the parking lot he was preparing to plow. It was kinda like, "If you're in such a hurry, then, just go ahead <Evil Grin>" I just waved to him as I threw snow all over his truck. :D:D:D
