SVX Options:Coinholder area.
I know there was this flip cover thing there, and the heated seats buttons, and the coinholder. Was there anything else that goes there on a different spec SVX?

US Models
I only know about US models. On OBDI vehicles (92-95), it is a coin holder. On OBDII vehicles (96-97) it is the diagnostic port with a cover. To me this raises another question, though. On the OBDI vehicles you pull the coin holder out to get to one of the mounting screws that holds the cover under the steering wheel. Do you have to pry out the diagnostic port to get to the screw on the OBDII vehicles? I have not yet had the need to do that on my late model cars.

I only know of that area being used for the switch and coin holder. :)

You can put a tranny temp gauge from Dakota Digital in there.

Will it fit? :)

Definately you can make it fit....the gage is round.....Just pop the panel off and the coin holder and make a few cuts in there and the gage should fit nicely.

My Dakota Digital is not round, but rectangular. Look in my locker under Temp Gauge. :)

Yes I was referring to the rectangular one. It fits but you have to remove the metal shell to fit without modifying the dash. It also won't fit flush unless you trim the 4 bolts. I didn't trim them and the small gap didn't bother me.
