SIA/SOA

Hi All,

To qoute Barry Manilow, "Looks like we made it."

Our presence in Lafayette and on the plant tour has opened some eyes at Subaru. We are now squarely on the SIA/SOA radar screens.
I received the following e-mail from Pat Hayes of SOA in Lafayette:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
:phay@subaru.com

Larry, once again thanks for the effort and condsideration for the Subaru product with regard to the 10th anniversary SVX meet. SOA would like to know if you could provide a list of names and addresses for the attendees along with the model and year of the SVX that each of them owns. Above and beyond that...each
person can include any other Subaru products they posses if they want to. The information will be handled confidentially and I'm not exactly sure what, if anything, SOA has planned. But...I think you've peeked their interest.

Pat
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am going to combine my Meet list with Michelle's meet list and send him a list of names of SVXers, e-mail addys, year of SVX(es), state, etc. If anyone DOES NOT want me to send their data to SOA, please send me a PM, or e-mail. Maybe we can no longer feel separated from SOA. Only time will tell.

Thanks

For anyone who does not want their name submitted, I will gladly offer my name up in their place... haha seriously though, I hate to sound selfish, but what of those of us who literaly could NOT make the meet?

Earthworm 07-27-2002 05:46 PM

Do we get a choice as to whether we want either a reman. tranny or funding for a 5spd upgrade? :D

Aredubjay 07-27-2002 06:25 PM

I don't mind supplying my home address, if they'd like to have that too.

subymtnguy 07-27-2002 08:23 PM

Thats Great!

Hi Larry! Looks like we got their attention! Yea! I have no objection at all sending them my info...

I have three subies, and would like them to know it!....don't mind if they have my home address either! Please let us know how you want to handle! Thanks:)

P.S. My e-mail is incorrect on your list....the correct e-mail is:
telliott120@hotmail.com

Thanks, Larry

Zeppelin 07-27-2002 09:05 PM

Hmmmm... I wonder if they want our home addresses so they can come by our houses at 4am and finish off their nightmare

vkykam 07-28-2002 01:37 AM

Larry,

Add a 2000 Legacy GT Wagon along with me SVX please on the list to SOA...

To Chris ('Ponzi'),

All Svxers are invited to be on the list to SOA.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To All SVXers,

I will give SOA your e-mail addys. I will let them contact you directly for your home addresses. I'm certain that this is for marketing/sales research.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To Zeppelin,

Be nice. I am 58 years old and have found the old adage to be true. "You get more flys with honey than with vinegar. Not only does this offer an opportunity to SOA, it also offers opportunity for us. Remember 'detente' was a 2-way street between the USA & USSR and it worked for both.

E-mail to SOA

Larry,
No problem providing my name, e-mail and year of SVX (only the '97 now with the demise of the '94) to the SOA folks.

I totally agree. We have gotten their attention! and it could and will benefit all of us, SOA included. And who knows, we may even make the SOA magazine too. Mr. Nagano and his folks certainly took a lot of photos - and video too. Did I mention that they had a guy on the corner taking video of the cars departing and he even waited to get me and John Hoffman as we left (we were the last to leave the parking lot).

Again, we are appreciative of your hard work to make all of this happen!
Harry

Gee - you could get all of the SVX info and owners names off of the subarusvx.org site couldn't you. NOT!! I couldn't resist that. Sorry.

I think that this is great - we finally got their attention, and now we need to keep it. I appreciate all of the effort that was made for the meet, and all of the people who helped make this a great meet.
Larry - Thanks for all of your hard work - it was worth every minute of it. I am also very impressed with your car scent. ;)

You can find them below in my signature.

thank's, Mike

Larry,

Add my 2002 Outback VDC sedan to the list. Since it was built in Lafayette it was really interesting to see how the whole thing came together on the tour...

benebob 07-29-2002 09:59 AM

Feel free to send my info along as well

Maybe at the very least they'll start sending me Drive Mag again. You can add on my other Subie too. If I had a scanner that worked I'd pass along my DOA Impreza that took a liking to a ditch at 65mph

Green1995SVX 07-29-2002 12:38 PM

ben - to start getting drive again, all ya gotta do is go into LCM and grab one of the little cards off the counter in the service dept, fill it out, and send it in. That will also set you up an account at mysubaru so you can get your service history online.

Also, larry, you can send them my info. :)
