Dirt ingress into cab

I just finished upgrading all suspension parts and had to take apart the interior pieces in the rear for rear strut bolt access. I live on a dirt road and noticed dust under the seat, rear deck and side interior pieces. Question is, how is the dust getting into the cab? The trunk is also full of dirt/dust as well once you lift up the trim pieces. Perhaps this is how the damn mouse is getting into my car as well?

I expect dust on the dash board just from driving on the 1/2 mile of dirt road with open windows. But I shouldn't be seeing dirt under the trim pieces or under the rear seat.

Ideas?

It just gets anywhere and everywhere. I have an Iowa car that has about an inch of silt/sand in the tail lights. I suppose that is more plausible as moisture gets in there and carries fine particulates of sand. But the same is bound to happen with the rest of the places. It just finds its way into places you would never think. Just the silt in the air, gets into places over time and just adds up.

yes, silt is a good term for it and it's prolific, to say the least.

I've resorted to using a leaf blower to blow the car out before I go about wiping it down and vacuuming up the carpets

My ex and I lived about a mile from pavement and had a GL wagon, and superfine road dust filled every crevice of that thing. I never could figure how so much dirt could find its way into places such as the under-floor storage cubby, beneath the carpet.
