svx lsd in other subarus?
 

can the svx lsd be used on other subarus? i recall that people swapped it when they did the 5spd swap. but can it be done on a regular wrx or legacy? and do you need the svx rear diff axle stubs?

I believe the gear ratio is unique to the SVX.

but i thought for the 4.44 swap people swapped the lsd from the svx diff into the new diff

Yes, you can swap the LSD unit into another diff and use the other diffs ring and pinion to do gear swaps....but no other Subaru came with the same style LSD and axles as the SVX, hence the need to preform such swaps to change gears...
