New Subaru

Last Friday, Wendy and I purchased our first NEW Subaru. We've owned a number of used SVXen and a number of new cars, but this is the first new Subaru for us.

We bought a 2007 Legacy specB. This car uses the 2.5l turbo engine, a 6 speed manual trans, 18" wheels with Bridgestone RE050 summer tires, a black leather and blue alcantara interior and the reason for the name; an upgraded suspension equipped with inverted Bilstein struts and forged aluminum control arms. The color is Diamond Grey metallic which is stunning when clean (hard to do this time of year in MI).

Thought I'd share some pics with ya'all

Congrats :D

I'll agree on that color, I spent a few minutes drooling over that Spec B at the Philly auto show. No offense to your photography skills, but those photo's don't do it justice :p

300 horse?

I thought the spec b was going to get a turbo charged 3.0L engine - guess not. Nice car though.

Nice! I've always liked those.

Nice car Todd - his or hers?
you guys still rolling the G35 also?

Subafreak 03-26-2007 07:07 PM

Awsome choice! We got a guy who traded his STI in for one, and already got the header and sway bars on it. Last i heard he had ordered the Access port for it. Damn sweet ride. I would take on over an STI any day.

Congrats, and i hope it serves you well!

P.S. How lame is that i-drive econo mode? :D

Thanks guys. We like it alot.

Let's see Q&A responses:
Hocrest-:p
Ricochet-243hp, 241tq-same as Legacy GT, options (interior, nav system, 6 speed, wheels) and suspension make it different
Manarius-nope, 2.5L turbo. Upcoming 3.0R uses the flat 6, non-turbo with 5EAT only
shelfy-no modifications, saving money to mad the SVX for autoX this season and finishing the truck mods (Banks Big Hoss kit electronics installation coming soon)
Matt-hers (for immediate future, then mine), and no, G35 is gone
Jesse-Thanks:D. I'm too old for an STi:eek: . i-Drive econo-mode is good for break-in miles:cool:

Beautiful car. Congrats on the purchase! :)

nice car, and welcome to the club. :)

for some real fun, get an Accessport and a downpipe (yer lucky - you have a catless uppipe already in your '07!)

i would also strongly suggest the JDM/Euro armrest extension for some extra storage.

Congrats on your new Spec. B. We also took delivery of a new Outback XT Ltd. wagon in Diamond Gray Metallic a couple of weeks ago. You are correct the color is beautiful when clean and shiny and a b**ch to keep that way.

God, I wish they would make a Legacy Spec. B (STI ?) wagon.
