test mules
Just went up to visit a friend and get my copper pass and as usual i saw a few test mules.
1. new grand prix painted 'test mule' black with a crazy bra thingy hiding the new front end. 2. mazda 6, same color, black wheels and some weird sensor suspended from each fender and attached to the hub of each wheel...so the wheel would spin but the mechanism would stay still. and finally... 3. 997 turbo looks like http://www.iboston.com/997/images/40097.jpg http://www.iboston.com/997/images/40099.jpg http://www.iboston.com/997/images/40100.jpg and exactly like this one http://www.iboston.com/997/images/porsche911t.jpg (bigger molded rear spoiler) I've really gotta start bringing my camera with me when i go up to summit county. Things i've seen way before they came out; S4 Toureg RS6/RS6 avant cadillac sts cayanne 300C |
That's one of the things I mis about living near Detroit. I used to see all kinds of interesting things - especially on the freeway early in the morning. One time, just as I got on the freeway a mile fro mmy house, I saw two or three Vauxhall VX220s. Another time it was an Alfa five-door (can't remember the model number). I saw numerous 'new' models with black blankets all over them. And of course a few car rags are based in Ann Arbor, where I worked. Automobile Magazine actually parked their current test cars in the same garage I did, so I'd go way up to the top and park amongst whatever it was they had on loan. I saw a pre-production WRX up there, a gorgeous NSX-T, Porsches, a Panoz, for crying out loud...

I used to see a few test mules when I lived in the Northern VA/ D.C. area. I would say, that living around Detroit does have its benefits...
