trans cooler

(I am typing this with one finger, knocking on wood with the other)
I would like to find a supplier for an external trans cooler w/ temp gauge. Where is the best price/supplier? Is this a driveway project with ordinary tools?
Any help would be appreciated. (Especially if you have performed this mod!!!)

do a search for tranny cooler and you'll find tons of answers and part numbers. if you just want to order one quick and get it shipped to you, the easiest is motorsport warehouse who's on this forum. if you search you'll find part numbers and places that might sell some but will require some effort to search the different types of coolers. if you want to be lazy and want one right away, you can go to napa and buy one there at their store. good luck man.

If you look in the How-To Documents, there are directions with the tranny filter and a temp gauge. Hope this helps. :)

most parts stores also carry trans coolers if you need one right away it will be faster than shipping

I go tmy stuff from Summit Racing Equipment. They have a external filter with a tranny temp gauge package. You would still need a cooler though.

Summit ^^^

i got the TCI brand 'Hi-Tech' cooler from Summit. although a lot of people on here like the B&M style stacked plate coolers, from what i've read, they aren't getting the temps down like the TCI cooler. its a big 'ol tube and fin cooler - skinny enough to fit between the rad and condenser, but has a BIG surface area. in the summer, with belly tray removed under normal driving (not a lot of stop-n-go traffic / hills), it will stay around 170-185 degrees after the fluid warms up.
