Best offset for 18" wheels

Hi everyone, I'm determined to remove my stock wheels (and save them in the event I need them later) and replace them with 18 inchers.

My question is do all wheels have a different "SVX" offsets ?

or,

Is there is a standard "SVX" offset ?

In my opinion the proper offset for a 18" rim on the SVX is about 10 feet...

Factory offset is 55 mm, there's a good tire size/offset calculator in LarryIII locker.

The offset needed doesn't depend on rim diameter, but on rim width. A 7.5 inch wide rim is going to need a different offset from a 9 inch wide rim.

If you go past the factory offeset of 55 does that result in scraping against the body ?

If you have a 7.5" wide rim and you go past the factory offset of +55 it will move your wheel inward and it will grind against the suspension. If you have an offset of less than +55 it will hit the body. You have a bit of room for movement, but not much.
