Oil Stabilizers
Any opinions on oil stabilizers? Good, bad, or doesn't make a difference? Most mechanics caution the use of such products but many say they are great. Anyone used them on our SVX's? I've heard many good things about the Lucas.

I cracked an oil pan on a Jeep Cherokee did'nt realize it, drove the thing 20miles home. I realized the pan was cracked and the crankcase empty when i got home but whatever damage i did must have been minimal cause i drove that jeep till the wheels fell off. (literally ) That vehicle had Lucas in it. |
I don't know if Restore counts as an oil stabilizer, but it works fairly well from my experience.

We've had good luck with the Justice Brothers line at work (their injector cleaner is unbelievable on Subarus, run that stuff through a Legacy and when you're done, you won't know it's idling).
I know a guy who used to race go karts when he was little (5HP B&S lawnmower engines + nitromethane) and his dad was rebuilding the engine after every race, he started putting Energy Release in 'em, and he went from every race to every season. |
