Where is the lug nut wrench?

I recently bought an SVX and decided to rotate the tires on Saturday. I found the spare and jack under the trunk mat, but no wrench. Right now I am a bit peeved with Welsh Subaru since I did not get a front license plate bracket and it looks like I may have also been short changed on the wrench and wheel chocks.

Is this thing hidden somewhere? The owner's manual does not mention anything about its location.

I did complete the rotation using jack stands as described in an earlier post on jacking mishaps.

It is supposed to be in a black/blue bag with the little wedges.

Look around :)

I found mine inside the rear drivers side fenderwell. Seems the PO's PO had put them in there, as the PO had bought a replacement jack and wrench. The whole bag, wrench, chocks, etc..

Only took me two years of ownership  to find it there.

If I hadn't replaced my antenna mast, it would still be there and I'd be cursing for not having it still.

At least now I have two jacks :p and wrenches

Steve,

How did you get a Level 10 tranny? Did you send the car to Level 10, or buy an east coast car?

Stevebsy 08-06-2002 06:38 AM

I removed the tranny and shipped it there. If I lived in the NJ area I'd have just dropped the car off, but no such luck...

Pardon my ignorance but what is a Level 10 tranny, and what does having an East Coast car have to do with it?

It has been a point of some debate as to whether or not Level 10 Performance Transmissions has found a way to "bullet proof" the SVX tranny. Some have had them installed for a couple of years, but we've yet to get a definitive report. I'm looking forward to it.

The reason you'd have to buy an East Coast car, is because Level 10 is located in Hamburg NJ.
