I just upgraded to a 1.17 MB connection, from a wooping 128 kbps :o, yeah, developing country...

I wonder, what´s your internet speed?

I used to use speakeasy or speedtest, however I have noticed they can't test fast enough, became to popular, and got bogged down.

Hi everyone, Its my understanding that with cable the big number for download is the number if your the only one on line. You have to divide that number by the number of people online on that circuit. As a rule, you can figure your block or two are on the same circuit. The middle of the night is good. And don't forget, your only as fast as the site your down loading from! Take care, and keep those wires burning. BOBB

The cable big number is "speed boost". They only give you a "boost" for a very short period, one second. Designed for mp3's and other small burst files.
