svx front spoiler

as I was browsing SVX motorsport's website, I noticed in the used vehicle section, the burgandy JDM car has a pretty nice looking front spoiler that I had not seen anywhere else. Does anyone have a clue which company made that?

I did not want to post the photo without MS' authorization, so for those not sure of what I am refering to, please log in to their website to see..

thanks!

The top part of that front bumper is bog standard.

The bottom part looks like somebody had attached the corner pieces that Dayle sells, which themselves are a copy of a Japanese make of corner piece, and then the lot looks like it was filled in and smoothed over with glass fibre.

Nice job. Possibly the whole lower bit is an aftermarket piece from the people in Japan that make Dayle's corner pieces.

I have a set of what Dayle sells at his site on one of my cars. Click on the 94 Barcelona Red in my signature to see what they look like. :)

I like the full piece add-on more than simply the splitters... i wish I could get that piece here. I think it could be smoothed into the car easier so it looked like the bumper was one piece.

I'm in agreement with Marisa, and not just about the p*ssy , one piece is a neater job. The corner splitters Dayle has are a nice addition, and possibly would look best if smoothed in to the existing bumper with Bondo, and avoid the tacked on look.

They also are not an exact match up to the shape of the wheel arch, but that could be smoothed in too, if one had a mind to.

Currently in Japan I see two half spoilers available: one is from Flatt Racing, and looks not too bad, if just a little ricey where it connects the wheel arch:

http://www.flatt-racing.com/pages.html/svx.html

The other is from Evolution, and I think this is a whole lot better, and half the price of the Flatt one.:

Again it is a little bit hit and miss where it meets the wheel arch, but as you have to paint anyway, to do it right it should be smoothed over with fibreglass filler and sprayed up to match the car.

Joe :)

I agree on that lip. The exchange rate is really bad right now so I think it's looking closer to $5k right now US.

No lads.

You are guessing way wrong on the price. At present exchange rates the Flatt spoiler is approx $915, while the Evolution one is $415.

The Evolution one in particular is reasonable, and the Flatt one looks quite professional and is possibly in that sense worth the money.

Joe

[If your guestimate is for the coilovers, the cost is approx $3400, over 800 bucks a corner. They are expensive]

That, sir, IS what we were guessing on.

 I thought you might be.

Even guessing, there is a heck of a lot of fresh air between $3400 and $5000, or even between $3000 and $5000 for that matter.

Well, my guesstimate, if I recall correctly, was $3,000. So, I was at least in the ballpark! lol
