Damn frozen door
Good thing I had to get something out of the SVX this morning otherwise I wife would have been stuck...
I had to pry the door open with my fingers because it was frozen shut!!! What can I do so I don't run into this situation again? Thanks. |
Pam cooking spray on the seals. It works for me.

I've heard of people using things like car wax and Pam on the seals.

Actual automotive silicone spray would be better. We use it on window run channels and rubber things all the time. I'm glad I'm not the only one that has to pry the door open with all my might. It was -5 here this morning when I left for work, and I thought the same thing, there's no way my girlfriend could open that door. Or maybe she'd break the door handle trying...

I hate that on a cold mornings :D

Sil-Glide (Syl-Glide) (available at most AutoZone or NAPA stores) does a fantastic job. It is a silicone gel (paste) in a tube that you squeeze and rub across your rubber mouldings. Also great for lubricating calipers
