A Couple Questions

I have a couple bucks laying around and was wondering a couple things:

I need new front rotors and was wondering if it was necessary to replace the rears at the same time, the are good now.

Should I tint the windows or get a new stereo (also, are the radio harnesses still for sale)

Or, buy a project car maybe a Merkur XR4ti or 280 or EG Hatch or something.

Just want to get a couple opinions

Also, the tranny was supposedly restored, but I have a Solenoid A error, not that the firm shifts bother me. Also, I thought my C Sol. was not working and cut a switch, but to no avail, so I checked with my Multimeter, and nothing. So, how much is a new solenoid, how much should it cost to replace?

As far as window tint goes, I think that ordenary citizens should be able to SMASH tinted windows with a tire iron, so we can SEE the driver, and KNOW what he is going to do when I pull into an intersection!!!!
If you tint your glass, you should be responsible for ANY damages at ANY intersection, because you CHOSE to remain 'faceless' and every other driver that encounters you has to be a 'mind reader' cause you cannot express your intentions before you act.

My advice is to spend your excess dollars on sound system, and leave the glass alone!!!! You could buy sun glasses!!!

You asked, I responded....

His site is still up, send him an email.

PS: I agree with what the REDNECK said about the window tinting!

wow, tell us how you really feel, but I must disagree, a LEGAL tint is safe, and I ALWAYS use turn signals, so I don't believe that it is problematic, but that is simply my belief.

I was still wondering about replacing my rotors though, the tint was purely an ancillary question.

speaking of tinting, when my car had a black roof before my first paintjob, I had a dark black tint on it, then tinting became illegal, so I had to take it off.

Just today I was introduced to the "right hand" guy of a minister here, we were talking about guns permit and stuff, went to tinting, and he told me he can get me a permit for tinting... FREE :D :D . I need to return him the favor, I promised I can procure him a nice cell line (I work in a telecom company)...
I can get the line for free also :D :D

And you ask me how I mod my car at low prices  ;)

you can do only the front rotors. it will cause no problems doing only 2.

I like how a well tinted car looks, but refuse to tint my svx for the same reason subi-crosser states as well as I don't want it to be any harder to see out of at night. I also think dark tint attracts the unwanted attention of cops.

We tinted the rear end of the XT to keep the sun off the baby but the front sides are only tinted light and visibility in and out of them is great.

Most of the 'heavy tint' here is to hide drug activity!! The cops KNOW this, and , shall we say, Profile all cars with heavy tint.( there is a 98% chance that Rin-Tin-Tin will be walking on your leather, if you run 4 mph over the posted limit with tinted windows!!)
It really does mess with the ability to 'communicate' with the other users of the highway.

Jerry, Buddy,
I just saw your new tag line;

I can't go to work today, the 'VOICES said'
"Stay home and clean the guns"

Only my Claret is tinted,:o
Is that ok, Friend?

thanks for everyone's "constructive" criticism. However, I am still wondering about my solenoids. Is a inoperative shift and AWD solenoids bad? Is it very difficult/expensive to replace? Do you think my transfer clutch is messed?
Local cottman guy didn't get it and refused to look at my car......... Please help as my AWD car is now FF
